18 Dec CGA X Inside Gymnastics Men’s NCAA Class Of 2026 Recruiting Roundup! Next Up, Michigan!
NCAA MEN’S GYMNASTICS: Recruiting Roundup!
Now that you’ve met many of the freshmen slated to compete during the 2025-26 Men’s NCAA Gymnastics season (see that series here on InsideGym.com), we’re excited to launch a look at the Class of 2026 – NLI Signings for each program!
In this new Inside Gymnastics series in partnership with the Men’s College Gymnastics Association (CGA), we asked each head coach about who’s graduating, who’s coming up, what they look for in their recruits, where each Class of 2026 NLI signee could potentially contribute to the lineup, and what makes their program unique. You’ll see what they had to say right here on InsideGym.com!
We’ll also add updates here and across our social media platforms as the season progresses, should anything change. Plus! Stay tuned right here for Men’s NCAA Coverage throughout the season, and be on the lookout for our upgraded Routine Of The Week segment and more @InsideGym once the season gets rolling.
Up next, 2025 NCAA Champion Michigan! The University of Michigan men’s gymnastics team took home its seventh NCAA men’s gymnastics title in 2025 in a meet that came down to the Wolverines’ final vault from Paul Juda. The victory secured U-M’s first NCAA title since 2014. Trailing the Oklahoma Sooners by 0.537 points (276.162-275.625) heading into the final rotation, the meet came down to the final routine. Juda delivered 13.966 as the anchor to secure the victory over Stanford by just 0.163 points.

We asked Michigan head coach Yuan Xiao…
Who will we graduate in 2026:
Fred Richard, Zachary Granados, and Robert Noll.
Class of 2026 – NLI Signings:
Jay Asrani is a pommel horse specialist who brings a high level of competitiveness and reliability, and we expect him to contribute across multiple lineups as he continues to refine his difficulty at the collegiate level.
Troy Holman is a very well-rounded All-Around gymnast with strong fundamentals and consistency across events, bringing exceptional strength and power, particularly on pommel horse and parallel bars. His work ethic and physical presence stand out, and we expect him to make an immediate impact on our power events while continuing to develop his all-around potential.
Carlos Rolka is an athlete with excellent technique and poise, who is maybe the back horse for our program, especially on the floor, parallel bars, and high bar. He has a great feel for clean execution and routine construction, and we believe he’ll be a strong lineup option and a steady influence in training. Great personality and leadership skills.
What each athlete will bring to the program:
Collectively, this class adds depth, balance, and competitive experience, and we’re excited about how each athlete complements the group and aligns with the program’s long-term vision.
Top traits we look for beyond gymnastics skills:
We prioritize strong character, a competitive mindset, a strong work ethic, leadership qualities, and the ability to positively impact team culture.
Athletes who are coachable, resilient, and committed both academically and athletically tend to thrive in our environment.
What makes Michigan stand out as a program:
Michigan offers a comprehensive high-performance environment grounded in world-class coaching, competitive elite training resources, and a strong academic foundation. Our culture emphasizes personal development, teamwork, and long-term success.
We focus on building well-rounded student-athletes who excel in the gym, in the classroom, and beyond graduation.
