Recruiting Szn: Men’s NCAA Gymnastics Commitments

The NCAA Class of 2030 is starting to take shape as top athletes announce their commitments ahead of the November 12 National Signing Day. Unlike in women’s collegiate gymnastics, where top prospects typically verbally commit during their junior year of high school, the men wait to make official visits during their senior year, shortly before signing.

Inside Gymnastics takes a look at who we consider to be the Top 10 prospects among 2026 graduates, from where they’re going to what that means for the future of NCAA men’s gymnastics.

No. 1 Dante Reive ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hometown: West Point, New York

Current Gym/Coach: West Point Gymnastics, JD Reive

College Commit: Oklahoma

This youngest member of the current U.S. senior National Team comes by his talent naturally. Dad JD is a former athlete and current coach at Army, and mom Doni (nee Thompson) was a star in both Elite and at UCLA. The 2024 junior National Champion, Reive finished 13th all-around and 6th on still rings in the senior competition at this year’s USAs, earning a spot on the junior World Championship Team and putting everyone on notice he’s not just a future star for Team USA, but ready to compete at that top level today.

No. 2 Nartey Brady ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hometown: Los Ranchos, New Mexico

Current Gym/Coach: East Ridge Gymnastics, Brandy Wood

College Commit: Stanford

Sidelined by injury for the latter half of 2025, Brady made his mark early in the year by winning the overall vault title at Winter Cup and finishing 18th all-around in the senior division. Huge potential to be a significant star, both in the NCAA and beyond, if Brady can get and stay healthy.

No. 3 Maksim Kan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hometown: Muskego, Wisconsin

Current Gym/Coach: Salto Gymnastics Center, Andrei Kan

College Commit: Stanford

The reigning Junior National Champion and traveling alternate to Team USA’s junior World Championship team, Kan is a strong all-arounder and pommel horse pro. In addition to the all-around, Kan claimed a whopping four of six event golds in his age group at USAs. Another second-generation gymnastics star, his father and coach is Belarusian Olympian Andrei Kan.

No. 4 Hunter Simpson ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hometown: Palmetto, Florida

Current Gym/Coach: EVO, Sergei Pakanich

College Commit: Oklahoma

Silver medalist at both the 2024 and 2025 Junior National Championships, Simpson represented Team USA earlier this year at the London Open and is an alternate for the junior World Championship team. A steady competitor, Simpson has maintained his junior National Team status every year he’s been eligible.

No. 5 Kiefer Hong ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hometown: Tomball, Texas

Current Gym/Coach: Cypress Academy, Sam McArthur

College Commit: Stanford

The youngest brother of reigning U.S. National Champion Asher Hong, Kiefer is following in both his older brothers’ footsteps by committing to the Card. Injured at the most recent US Championships, Hong’s best recent results were matching fourth place finishes at the 2025 Winter Cup (jr division) and 2024 USAs (jr division).

No. 6 Justin Park ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hometown: San Diego, Calif.

Current Gym/Coach: Agility Kids, Adam Lomax

College Commit: Stanford

Park earned a spot in the senior session at USAs based on a 16th place all-around finish at Winter Cup (sr). Unfortunately, an injury in warm-ups on night two, kept him from finishing that competition, but Park has solid stats, including a second-place finish at 2024 junior USAs.

No. 7 Anthony Ruscheinsky ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hometown: Summit, Wisconsin

Current Gym/Coach: Salto Gymnastics Center, Andrei Kan

College Commit: Ohio State

A current junior National Team member, Ruscheinsky finished 5th all-around at USAs, and second with his Region 5 squad in February’s Elite Team Cup.

No. 8 Rahul Mandava ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hometown: Cypress, Texas

Current Gym/Coach: Cypress Academy, Sam McArthur

College Commit: Navy

Former junior National Team member Mandava is the third gymnast in his family to go D1, with older brothers Vishal and Kiran currently at Navy and Stanford, respectively. Sixth at 2024 Junior Nationals, Mandava is a steady all-arounder and standout on pommel horse.

No. 9 Chane Cumbermack ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hometown: Miramar, Florida

Current Gym/Coach: Nova Gymnastics, Christopher Binker

College Commit: Ohio State

Cumbermack finished 7th at USAs (jr.), just outside the junior National Team spots, but has earned junior National Team camp invites based on his outstanding potential. An impressive feat given he just made the jump from the Junior National level to Junior Elite (FIG standard) this year.

No. 10 Troy Holman ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hometown: Bakersfield, Calif.

Current Gym/Coach: Bakersfield Gymnastics Academy, Matthew Lowry

College Commit: Michigan

A former junior National Team member and the current junior National Champion on parallel bars, Holman was the last of the top 10 prospects to announce his commitment.

Other Notable Commits

Illinois landed former junior National Team member Zac Myers (⭐️⭐️⭐️). Nebraska secured Roswell Gymnastics’ Gage Kalley (⭐️⭐️⭐️). And NCAA All-American Peyton Cramer announced he’s transferring from Springfield to Penn State after sitting out last season due to injury.

Strong Showings

Oklahoma following up their stellar 2029 incoming class, which featured last year’s 1-2 recruits in Nathan Roman and Sasha Bogonosiuk, with another No. 1 get, and two of the top four graduating seniors, should have them sitting pretty for an at-home NCAA Championships in 2027.

Stanford once again locks in a spectacular class with 4 of the top 10 athletes, not to mention the talented Carter Daniel, all headed to The Farm. The 2019-24 National Champs aren’t conceding any ground and will be looking to climb back to the top of the standings very soon.

Ohio State is making moves following an off year. The Buckeyes are bouncing back, bigtime, snagging two, top 10 recruits, putting the rest of the Big 10 on notice.

Big Shoes to Fill

Defending National Champs Michigan got their first public commit of the year from No. 10 Troy Holman on Wednesday night. With 2026 star Fred Richard’s senior season and Paul Juda having graduated, the Wolverines will have big shoes to fill. The Wolverines did secure top three prospects in both the 2029 (Adam Lakomy) and 2028 (Solen Chiodi) recruiting classes!
