22 Oct Hashimoto Reigns As Three-Time World All-Around Champion
The threepeat!
2020 Olympic All-Around Champion, Hashimoto Daiki, secured his third straight World All-Around title today at the 2025 World Gymnastics Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia. After a picture-perfect day, Hashimoto reigned supreme yet again. His experience and confidence on full display, he finished his day with a perfectly stuck double twisting double layout on high bar, earning a 14.700 and bringing the crowd to their feet.
Hashimoto, who captured the 2022 and 2023 World All-Around titles, helped lead the Japanese team to gold at the 2024 Olympic Games but left without an individual medal. Here, redemption was sweet, and you have to believe his road to LA2028 is about to be legendary.
Winning silver was 2021 World All-Around Champion Zhang Boheng of China. Boheng displayed a masterclass on rings with the highest score of the day on the event, 14.600. Boheng also finished with silver at 2022 World Championships, and it seems the rivalry with Hashimoto shows no signs of stopping as the quad gets started.
Newcomer Noe Seifert of Switzerland shocked the world and won a bronze medal, his first-ever world medal and the first all-around medal for the Swiss men’s team in 75 years. Seifert sealed the medal with the highest score on pommel horse and a massive high bar routine capped off with a stuck dismount. The emotions were high for Seifert, and he was seen hugging every member of his coaching team in celebration.
Reigning Olympic All-Around Champion, Oka Shinnosuke, of Japan, was leading the competition four rotations in, but took a fall on floor in rotation four that took him out of contention. Shinnosuke finished fourth in the event.
