100 Days & Counting!

Excitement around the world is brewing as today marks the 100-day countdown to the London Olympics! From coverage on NBC’s The Today Show to fans around the world buzzing with enthusiasm, the buildup to the year’s biggest sporting event has officially kicked off.

Today, 24 potential Team USA hopefuls from a variety of sports rode into New York City on a double-decker bus in honor of the 100-day celebration.

It doesn’t seem like that long ago when the finishing touches were being put on Beijing’s Olympic Park in 2008. Now, officials in London are working to finish up preparations to welcome the 15,000 athletes from more than 200 countries, along with millions of visitors, who will enter the city for the Games.
