This Week’s Inside Buzz: Friday 5!

Insiders, join us for our new Inside Buzz: Friday 5 weekly highlights! Every Friday at 10 a.m. sharp (EST) we will highlight our top 5 gymnastics moments of the week! Let’s see who made the cut this week!

1. Practice Makes Perfect. A group of the nation's top contenders for this year's competition front gathered for another National Training Camp this week at the Karolyi Ranch in Texas. Jordyn Wieber finished on top of the physical abilities testing, posting one of her highest scores ever.
2. Back in Action. 2010 World Team member Rebecca Bross (WOGA) makes her return to the competition scene this weekend at the WOGA Classic. This meet marks Rebecca’s first meet since she dislocated her right kneecap at the 2011 Visa Championships. We wish you the best of luck!
3. A Week to Celebrate. This week, gyms all across Canada celebrated National Gymnastics Week! The event celebrates the positive benefits of gymnastics in all its forms: trampoline & tumbling, acrobatics, aerobics, rhythmic, artistic gymnastics and gymnastics for all.
4. What’s New with Vanessa. The Inside team caught up with UCLA’s Vanessa Zamarripa. Be sure to check out the latest on her rejuvenated start to 2012 and her hopes for both the collegiate and national scenes.
5. Collegiate Corner. The LSU Tigers gymnastics team shattered their previous season high with a 196.850 last Friday night against No. 4 Florida. During the battle in the Swamp, the Gators notched out LSU with a 197.850. That score gives UF two of the nation’s top team scores in its past three meets. Looks like the Gators are a force to be reckoned with this season!
